Trimming down...

Joining many others across the country on Jan 1st '08, my family and I decided to get in better shape. Especially with all the wonderful feasting that went on during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. To maintain our motivation, we decided to turn it into a bet. With some of the 'participants' being accountants, I imagine the idea of LOSING money in anything really will keep them motivated towards their goal. Yeah, we've gone 'un poco loco'...The first couple of weeks were extremely challenging to just do a decent exercise routine and eat a lighter yet balance diet. Now that our bodies have mostly adjusted, it's become an easier routine. I must admit though, I do feel a whole lot better and more energetic now compared to 3 weeks prior.
With the simple act of a brisk 45 minute walk twice a day for my aerobic/cardio work, I not only energize my body but I've been able to stimilate my 'visual mind' during my 'walk-a-bouts'.....

I wanted to share these images for some time now. These were taken in mid Nov '07 at the Portofino Shopping Center in The Woodlands (TX). It's a beautifully kept "Mediterranean-style" shopping center full of various stores just along Interstate 45 access road (north of Research Forest Dr.). We kept the session a secret to ensure the groom-to-be (now husband) did not 'accidentally' see the bride's dress prior to the wedding. :)
