Touring Italy...

Definitely one of our favorite places during our pilgrimage. We head out to Lake Como where we visit some of the cities surrounding this large body of water...

After a 5 hr train ride from Rome, we arrive in Milano. Then take another short train ride to the town of Somasca. It's an old little town overlooking Lake Como and is also where St. Jerome spent the final years of his life before his passing in 1537... We stay at a great little hotel called Hotel San Gerolamo.

Today we see Saint Alessio and Circo Massimo (Circus Maximus) the Colesseum, & Piazza Navona...Then saying 'bona notte y arrivederci' to the city of Albano for it's our last night here...

Then on to the Umbrian Hills where the city of Assisi sits, about 70 miles north of Rome. Here we visit the Basilica of St. Francis and the surrounding medieval town. Still filled with ancient homes, stores and narrow streets...

Visiting the Vatican Museum and ending the evening with some gelato at Trevi Fountain...
